CAMP!!!!!!

The Lion King 2010 - I am the one with the mane

One thing I love just as much as acting, CAMP!!

I have gone to the same camp since I was 5 (except for 2008) and I always go to the same one...

CAMP OUAREAU!!

Camp Ouareau is an all girl bilingual camp that was started in 1922.  There are 3 age groups.
The 1st is Dekopi  - that's from 8-11, then there is Chipka that is  12-13, then seniors which is 14-15.
There is also a Junior camp. That is where I started at.

Next year I'm going to be a Chipka!

There's so much to do there!! Here are the activities:
Water: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailing and windsurfing.
Land: Tennis, rock climbing, archery, camp craft, adventure and herbertisme.
Expression: pottery, DRAMA, arts and crafts, dance, tripping and language.

My favourites are: Archery, pottery, canoeing and DRAMA!!

Last year we did the play "The Lion King" and I was adult Simba! They chose a girl a year younger to play little Simba. It was so much fun!

Most years I go in July so I go during my birthday and they take birthdays to the next level!

There is a huge mess hall and everyone eats at there assigned tables. So after the meal they will turn out the lights, bring out a chocolate cake and everyone will sing happy birthday!

If that's not enough after they bring the cake to your table you have to skip around the whole mess hall!!

There are cabins and tents, but in my opinion, the tents give you the real experience. I always sleep at the back right bed and I have since I was little. For some reason that is my favourite spot to sleep!

Don't forget the memories made with new friends!
Getting to meet new people that is the best part:).

I met 2 very special girls that I'm going to miss next year because I'm going in August instead of July.

One more thing is that if you go for ten years you get your very own Ouareau canoe paddle!!!

I love Camp! Not just any camp, but Camp Ouareau and I plan to go back  every year I can!!

Camp is my life.
