graduation!!

So, on tuesday, something really cool happened! I graduated elementary school!

Well, my school only goes up to gr.6 so i technically graduated gr.6 but I'm changing schools! I'm not going to the same school as all my friends because I'm moving.

At my graduation there was 2 classes. The immersion (yay! that's me) and the core. There was 1 speech done by each class by students. The core speech went first then it was immersion! I was a co-valedictorian with my friend Maggy!

Then came the diplomas! My last name starts with B so i was 1 of the first! (second to be exact ) They are really pretty and I was also on honour roll!

After that there were 4 awards given out. The1st one went to a guy in my class for always helping out, that was called the Peace-keeper award! The 2nd one that went out was to one of my best friends(not lily) that was called Character Always award! That one is for being: honest, resilient, respectful, helpful and for trying hard. The 3rd one was for academic achievement that ALSO went to a guy in our class! That one is for well, being smart! The last one went to a girl in the core class and that was the Venetia Warner All Around Best Student award.

Then there was a slide show! It was a before and after slide show so it was a picture of us when we were young and then a picture of us right now and 3 facts from before and 3 facts from after!!

After my mom, almost all my friends and I went outside to take photos! My mom took so many photos that our faces began to hurt from all the smiling! But it was super fun!!!

Next there was a DANCE!!!!! It was sooo  much fun!! There were all our favourite song which includes "Whip My Hair" by Willow Smith and I just cant help myself! I had sooooooo much fun!!!The dance was an hour long but that was the best hour ever!!!

Those were the kind of memories that will last for ever!!!

My Bestie!

I haven't written in a long time but I have something very, VERY important to me I want to write about. This is extremely important to me!

MY BEST FRIENDS!!!!

My best friends' name is Lily! Lily has long(ish)light brown hair, radiant bright blue eyes and (in a loving way) short! If you would ever see us in person, we look so different! I have short dark brown hair, hazel eyes and I'm tall! She's also a year younger than me!

We have known each other since before kindergarten and we've become even closer this year! She is so amazing to talk to and i have such a great time with her! There's never a dull moment! We laugh 24/7!! We also have so many inside jokes that i can't even count them!

We share SO many passions in common!! But the biggest one we have is acting! We both fantasize about being famous and we make jokes about it all the time! We both got lead roles in the school play i wrote about earlier on. She was the mother dog!!!(Perdita)

The 2 of us also share the passion of animals!! We want to grow up and help raise money for dogs at O.S.P.C.A.!

So now you know a little about my best friend Lily!!! She is one of the 5  most amazing person i have EVER met in my  ENTIRE life!!

 P.S. Lily, I luv you!

!!!PEACE!!!

POEM

Here is a poem i needed to share:

her hair was up in a ponytail
her favorite dress tied with a bow
today was daddy's day at school
and she couldn't wait to go
but her mommy tried to tell her
that she probably should stay home
why the kids might not understand
if she went to school alone
but she was not afraid
she knew just what to say
what to tell her classmates
of why he wasnt there today
but still her mother worried
for her to face this day alone
and that is why once again
she tried to keep her daughter home
but the little girl went to school
eager to tell them all
about a dad she never sees
a dad who never calls
there were daddies along the wall in the back for everyone to meet
children squirming impatiently
anxious in their seats
one by one the teacher called
a student from the class
to introduce their daddy,
as seconds slowly passed
at last the teacher called her name
every child turned to stare
each of them was searching a man who wasn't there
she went to the front of the class
as she smiled up at her mom
and looked back at her teacher, who told her to go on
and with hands behind her back
she slowly began to speak
and from out the mouth of a child came words incredibly unique
'my daddy couldnt be here
because he lives so far away
but i know he wishes he could be
since this is such a special day
and though u cannot meet him
i wanted you to know
all about my daddy and how much he loves me so
he loved to tell me stories
she taught me to ride my bike
he surprised me with pink roses
and taught me to fly a kite
we used to share fudge sundaes
and ice cream in a cone
and though you cannot see him
im not standing here alone
cause my daddy is always with me
even though we are apart
i know because he told me he'll forever be in my heart"
with that her little hand reached up
and lay across her chest
feeling her own heart beat
beneath her favorite dress
and from somewhere in the crowd of dads
her mother stood in tears
proudly watched her daughter
who was wise beyond her years
she finished with a voice so soft
but its message clear and loud...
'i love my daddy very much
hes my shining star
and if he could, he'd be here
..but heavens just too far'

Code yellow

So today at school, there was a code yellow.

A code yellow is a time where we all have to be in a class room with the door locked and the have to be curtains closed. Its when  there is a chemical leak or a suspicious looking person walking around the school.

The thing is it happened at St.Joe's and G.V. yet almost all the elementary schools locked down!

Since i am in immersion, i have a french class and a english class, so when we should have eaten in  english class we ate with the other immersion class.Which my younger best friend happens to be in!

So i doodled in her notebook while she doodled on my arm.So i have a bunch of little doodles on my arm that refuse to come off.

It was so much fun!! It was also funny because my friends were all scared thinking that they were gonna die. So they were all talking and i said to them if they don't settle down they wont have time to write there will.So they all sat down got there i-pod touchs out and starting writing there will's! It mad me and my bestie, who was trying not to freak out but failing, laugh!

So after about and hour and a half of my friends freaking out about there siblings being at that school, the code yellow was over. But my older brother told me all about it and how it was a code red for him!!

Park Omega

So today I went to Park Omega with my family.

My baby brother and I loved feeding the animals! Although my mom helped him a lot ;).

We bought 3 bags of long carrots to feed the animals and we kept having to stop using them so fast!

There were a couple of warnings like don't feed the boars. (Boars are like pigs)
And they were EVERYWHERE!
Everywhere you looked  there were at least 3 boars!

We did the driving path. We were behind another car that were feeding the boars even though they weren't supposed to!
Man are they aggressive, they fight for the carrots!

Another warning was to not get out of the car near the wolves.
What did these same people do? Got out of the car!!
And around the bears, same thing!

Crazy people.

My personal favourite was the bears.
There were 2 adults and 2 babies.
The coolest part was that they had just come out of hibernation!

I also loved the wolves! Especially the arctic wolves. They are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Another fun part was the Cabane a Sucre.
Where we got maple taffy on a stick!
It was DELICIOUS! Although the wait was cold!

That was also my families first time going to Park Omega in the  winter, but we have gone MANY times in summers past.

I look forward to returning in the near future!!

CAMP!!!!!!

The Lion King 2010 - I am the one with the mane

One thing I love just as much as acting, CAMP!!

I have gone to the same camp since I was 5 (except for 2008) and I always go to the same one...

CAMP OUAREAU!!

Camp Ouareau is an all girl bilingual camp that was started in 1922.  There are 3 age groups.
The 1st is Dekopi  - that's from 8-11, then there is Chipka that is  12-13, then seniors which is 14-15.
There is also a Junior camp. That is where I started at.

Next year I'm going to be a Chipka!

There's so much to do there!! Here are the activities:
Water: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailing and windsurfing.
Land: Tennis, rock climbing, archery, camp craft, adventure and herbertisme.
Expression: pottery, DRAMA, arts and crafts, dance, tripping and language.

My favourites are: Archery, pottery, canoeing and DRAMA!!

Last year we did the play "The Lion King" and I was adult Simba! They chose a girl a year younger to play little Simba. It was so much fun!

Most years I go in July so I go during my birthday and they take birthdays to the next level!

There is a huge mess hall and everyone eats at there assigned tables. So after the meal they will turn out the lights, bring out a chocolate cake and everyone will sing happy birthday!

If that's not enough after they bring the cake to your table you have to skip around the whole mess hall!!

There are cabins and tents, but in my opinion, the tents give you the real experience. I always sleep at the back right bed and I have since I was little. For some reason that is my favourite spot to sleep!

Don't forget the memories made with new friends!
Getting to meet new people that is the best part:).

I met 2 very special girls that I'm going to miss next year because I'm going in August instead of July.

One more thing is that if you go for ten years you get your very own Ouareau canoe paddle!!!

I love Camp! Not just any camp, but Camp Ouareau and I plan to go back  every year I can!!

Camp is my life.

ACTING

Acting is my passion inside of school and out.

I recently took part in a local play "Beauty and the Beast". Although I had a minor role in it, had a blast! During that time I met some fantastic people.

The play I'm participating i right now is a school play, another classic.

101 Dalmatians! I have one of the leads! I play...

CRUELLA DE VIL!!!!!

My school got our report cards a couple of days ago and in drama I got a A+!

2 of my other best friends got the leads as well. 1 got the owner, Anita, and the other one got the mother dog, Perdita. 2 of my other friends play my henchmen, Horace and Jasper.

There are so many songs and dances. Even the rehearsals are fun! I also love acting like someone I'm not. Also dressing up is fun.

I have a lot of I have a lot of lines to memorize but I have a good memory which helps. I love acting with my friends I'm in so many scenes with them, it's so much fun!!!
